Izu Islands
The Izu islands are popular marine resorts where visitors can enjoy such activities as fishing and diving. All the Izu Islands offer their own unique features such as Oshima is famous for Mt. Mihara, an active volcano, and Oshima camellias, Hachijojima with its history as a penal colony, and Mikurajima where dolphin watching can be enjoyed. Visitors will also have the chance to view birds such as the Japanese Murrelet, and Black-footed Albatross.
